At a panel for the FASHINNOVATION event for Women Empowerment in Fashion and Tech Jazerai broke down why it’s so difficult for WOC to get their ideas funded and off the ground. The entire talk is worth listening to, but here’s a taste of some of the key truths that were discussed on the stage.

When you are a woman of color and you are making a fight to where you want to be in your career, you’ve tried a KPI approach. You’ve tried a strategy. You’ve put the best brains together in those rooms, and you’ve pitched your greatest ideas, and they don’t never get off. And the reason is - unfortunately - women of color make white men uncomfortable.
